Hi.

My name is Karin Nelson. I’m a wife, a mother, and a graphic designer. But I am also a passionate photographer who loves to film, a hopeless cartoonist who enjoys cooking, and a confused writer with a blog nobody reads and a book in my head that hasn’t been written yet because I don’t know in which language to write it in.

I’m very vocal. I need to say my thing. And the internet is the perfect place to do so. You’ll find me on Mastodon, FacebookTiktok, and most definitively on YouTube.

Born and raised in Germany, I ventured across the Alps to Italy when I was 20. I found a job and stayed in Tuscany for the next 11 years. Then, at a time the internet was available only over dialup, I met this amazing guy online, and we fell in love over email. The only problem was that he was all the way on the other side of the world and didn’t speak a lick of Italian. My English wasn’t great, but we made due. We wrote a bunch, met twice, and I ended up moving to Canada, where we got married. I found a job, we bought a house, and had a baby.

It’s now been well over 2 decades, and we’re still married. I’m crazy, and he’s not, so we kinda fit together perfectly. I cook and he does the laundry. I go to bed late, and he wakes up super early. I fix the wifi, and he mows the lawn.

Home is where you settle down. Never in a million years did I expect to end up at the West Coast of Canada, where bears roam forests and people drink rootbeer with vanilla ice cream floating in it. Seriously.
